Prakash Murthy

CEO, CTO & Founder

Mr. Murthy has 20 years of experience in engineering management and entrepreneurial ventures. He has been the CEO of Core Solutions and has been the Co-Founder of Inspiration Technologies, C2Silicon and Atonarp. As the CTO of Atonarp, Mr. Murthy has authored many of the core technology patents. Mr. Murthy holds a BE from Kuvempu University.

Tomoyoshi Sato


Mr. Sato has over 30 years of experience in engineering management and entrepreneurial ventures. He has designed and built high performance microprocessors/DSP targeting digital audio compression/visual coding like MPEG-1/-2 and MIMO implementation. He has been a CTO/Founder of IPFlex raising $75M in equity and CEO/Co-Founder of Atonarp, raising $11M. He holds BS in physics/ chemistry from Ibaraki University.

David Zimpfer


Mr. Zimpfer has over 30 years experience in product line and sales and marketing management. As a General Manager for Aptina, he started and grew a new business unit to over $400M. Mr. Zimpfer has also held VP/Director positons at companies including: On Semiconductor, Aptina, and Cypress Semiconductor. Mr. Zimpfer holds MPH and BS from University of California at Berkley.

Dave Anderson

Executive Vice President of Product Development

Mr. Anderson has 25 years of product development experience leading teams of up to 200 people including design, test, applications, and marketing. As the General Manager of Maxim’s Industrial and Medical business unit, he has strong knowledge of both the technology and business requirements in these markets. Mr. Anderson has a Master’s degree from Columbia University in Electrical Engineering, holds 15 issued US patents, and has presented papers at international peer reviewed conferences.

Katsuhiko Nakazawa

Vice President, Japan Operations

Mr. Nakazawa has over 35 years of experience in business planning and execution management jobs. He used to work in NEC Electronics and Renesas Electronics led the business divisions of SOC/ MCU sector for industrial system, digital multimedia and PC/ Servers. Mr. Nakazawa holds BA in Electronic Communication, Engineering from Tokyo Denki University

Nicholas Brathwaite

Chairman, Walden Riverwood Ventures

Mr. Brathwaite is a founding Partner of Riverwood Capital. Mr. Brathwaite has spent over 25 years developing and evaluating technology. From 1996 to 2007, he served as Chief Technology Officer at Flextronics, where he worked alongside Michael Marks, former CEO. At Flextronics, Mr. Brathwaite was innovative in his drive to move the company into product development, and he oversaw the launch and growth of several of Flextronics’ largest business units. Previously, Mr. Brathwaite was a founding member of nChip responsible for development of the industry-leading advanced multi-chip module assembly process. More recently with Riverwood, Mr. Brathwaite served as the interim CEO for Aptina Imaging from February 2007 to August 2008. His unique combination of technology know-how and commercial judgment will add value throughout the investment life-cycle at Riverwood. Mr. Brathwaite earned a M.Sc. Degree in Polymer Science Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada and a B.Sc. (Honors) Degree in Applied Chemistry from McMaster University, Canada. He is a director of Globant, Arkmicro., Power Integrations, Tessera Technologies, Inc.

Ken Yasunaga

Director, INCJ

Ken Yasunaga has served as a Managing Director at Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (INCJ) since 2013. Before joining INCJ, Yasunaga served as a Co-founder and Managing Partner of Entrepia Ventures. Yasunaga spent nine years in New York and Silicon Valley investing in IT-related U.S. venture companies. Yasunaga also served as a director of Japan Venture Capital Association between 2010 and 2013. Yasunaga started his career at Nissho Iwai Corporation, where he managed more than $500 million of IT-related investments.

Yuichi Kawakami

Director, IVF

Mr. Kawakami joined NEC Corporation in April 1975. While working at NEC, succeeded in commercializing the world’s first DSP (Digital Signal Processor). Mr. Kawakami Served as President of NEC Electronics America, and Chairman of the Board of Renesas Electronics America. While there, he was involved in investments, tie-ups and training with Silicon Valley venture startups. Mr. Kawakami remains an advisor to venture businesses.

Daisuke Kaihoku

Director, INCJ

Mr. Kaihoku has over 15 years of experience in IP strategy management and business development. He serves as a Vice President at Innovation Network Corporation of Japan since 2011. he served at Ricoh Company, Ltd , where he managed to form many Patent Portfolios. Before joining Ricoh, he served as a Patent Attorney with prosecution, license negotiation and litigation at Fujimoto Patent and Law Office. He started his career in sales and business Planning at Toppan Printing Co., Ltd in 1998. Mr. Kaihoku has three Master’s degree in Information Science (from Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), Business Law and MBA (from Hitotsubashi University Graduate School).

David King

Vice-Chairman, Independent

Mr. King is an experienced lawyer and executive with deep and broad experience in the growth and funding of new entrepreneurial ventures in a number of industries, especially those relating to the life sciences. As a Partner at Morgan Lewis, he was the leader of the venture capital and emerging business practice. He was CEO of Principia Pharmaceutical Corporation, which was acquired by Human Genome Sciences, Inc. He was co-founder and the CEO of BioRexis Pharmaceutical Corporation, which was acquired by Pfizer, Inc. Mr. king was a venture partner with Quaker Partners, a life sciences venture capital firm with $700 million under management, Mr. King holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Harvard Law School.

Cesar Lee

Cesar Lee is a Principal at WRV, a venture capital fund focused on early stage investments in hardware, semiconductor and other technology-related companies. Previously, he was an investment professional at Riverwood Capital, a technology-focused, late stage venture capital and private equity fund. He began his career at RBC Capital Markets, where he was part of the Mergers & Acquisitions group for two years and the Equity-linked & Derivatives group for one year. While at RBC, Cesar spent a majority of his time working on M&A advisory transactions for technology companies.

Kyoichi Matarai

Mr. Matarai joined NEC Corporation in 1985 and has over 25 years of experience in marketing, business development, and management in the semiconductor and electron device business. Mr. Matarai served as Vice President of Renesas Electronics America and Senior Vice President of Renesas Electronics China. Mr. Matarai is Labor and Social Security Attorney.
