Podcast|Atonarp discussed the first year of the SEMI Startups for Sustainability Initiative with the 2022 finalists.
In 2022, Atonalp responded to SEMI's urgent call to startups to help promote environmentally friendly manufacturing innovation.
Materials use and sustainability are one of the focal points, as are wafer processing, materials recycling, and alternative chemistries for waste reduction. These areas perfectly aligned with Atonarp's vision of providing semiconductor metrology sensors for active in-situ chemical monitoring.
We are honored to have been selected as a finalist in the inaugural year of the SEMI Startups for Sustainability Initiative and to give a high profile presentation at Semicon 2022. This month we gathered with 3D InCites, SEMI, and two other startup finalists to discuss our experiences from last year and to encourage other startups to begin the same journey in 2023.
You can listen to the podcast of the discussion here.
BACKGROUND STATEMENT: The SEMI Startup initiative is a direct result of a broader global call to action by the world's leading chipmakers in 2021, in collaboration with the Semi Global Industry Association, to identify five key intervention points to reduce the industry's carbon footprint. One of these interventions is described as Reduction of process greenhouse gas emissions - increased abatement, reduced gas use and leakage.
